It's My Party & I'll Cry If I Want To

Well I had a very busy weekend, and then was being lazy this week and this blog was taking awhile to write sooo that's why it's now being posted on Thursday ha ha! I'll start off with Friday, March 16th, which was Jaedyn's birthday. I didn't get too many pictures as we were busy getting ready for his party on Saturday, but here's a few!
We had blown up about 50 balloons the night before, so when Jaedyn woke up, there were balloons all over the living room floor. He loved it!
Trying to chew the wrapping paper off his Barney Dvd!
Opening his new musical soccer ball!
Monkey cake I made for Jaedyn.  :)
This picture was from Saturday at Jaedyn's party. I didn't get any at the beginning of the party because Jaedyn cried the entire time and wouldn't let me put him down. He was being super shy since so many people were there staring at him! ha ha.
Opening more presents with Grandma Cindy. Well Jaedyn's busy chewing on ribbon instead of opening his present, ha ha.

Grandma Bridget pushing Jaedyn around on his new Mickey Mouse train!

Kylee, Chailyn and the twins playing in Jaedyn's bedroom. :)
He hated it when everyone sang Happy Birthday, poor guy started crying but then we put the cake in front of his and he was happy, ha ha.
Jaedyn's other birthday cake, that everyone else got to eat!
"Get me outa this chair mom!!"

And that's the end of the pictures of Jaedyn's birthday weekend! Everything turned out great, and thank you everyone who came. Jaedyn got spoiled! :)

Happy First Birthday Little Man

Happy First Birthday Jaedyn! I can't believe it has already been a year. It feels like yesterday that I was in the hospital, waiting to meet my little man. But here we are, one year later. Jaedyn changed my life. He turned a horrible situation into something amazing. I honestly don't know where I'd be right now if it weren't for him. This past year has been tough at times, but for every bad or difficult time, there has been so many more good times. He brings a smile to my face with every little thing he does. I'm so lucky to be the mom of such an amazing little boy. I love you more than anything in the world Jaedyn.

What Jaedyn does at One Years Old!
Walks
Climbs on EVERYTHING!
Says mom and is starting to say baby and ball
Touches his head when I ask "Jaedyn where's your head"
Picks up his stuffed monkey when I ask "Jaedyn where's your monkey?"
Starting to clap his hands
Plays peek-a-boo

My smart little man learns more and more every day!
Momma loves you so much peanut!!

Card Storage

We all get a ton of cards on special occasions like a new baby or Christmas. I never know what to do with all of them. Do I throw them away? Put them in a box and forget about them? I didn't want to do either so I made this little book to hold all of the cards I got when Jaedyn was born.

It was pretty simple to make. I took a cereal box and cut out two pieces for the front and back covers. To figuire out the size I needed fo the covers, I just took the dimensions of my largest card, and added half an inch on each side. I then glued down pattern paper on the covers.
To hold all of the cards inside the book, I hole punched the top left corner of every card and the covers. Then put a binder ring through all of the holes.

I tied a ribbon around the whole book to keep all of the cards in place. Center the ribbon, glue it to the back cover, then tie it in a bow at the front annnd you're done!

It's really easy to make! If you're not a crafty person, then instead of cutting/decorating front and back covers, you could just hole punch the corner of every card and put a binder ring through all of them. If you don't want the cards to flop all over the place, then tied a ribbon or any type of string around it to keep them all together.

Hope you liked this! I will definitly be making more of these for all of our birthday and Christmas cards. :)

Adventures at Micky D's!

Being home all day, everyday with a baby gets a little... boring? For the both of us! It's been hard to take him anywhere since it's winter, but the snow is melting and it's getting warmer. Yesterday we decided to go to McDonalds for a muffin and some playtime! Jaedyn loves it there.
Here's my peanut, eating his muffin, waiting to go play! One of these days, he's going to turn into a muffin, I swear! He loves them, and since he is SO picky.. he gets muffins a lot. Ha ha.
Ordering some food at the "drive through".
I had to put this cause he's just so cute! I'm sure every mother says that about there child.. but he really is soo flippin' cute!!! Ha ha.

I wanted to take him down the slide, but I was afraid I'd get stuck going through all the tubey things, and Jaedyn was just scared to go into there, ha ha. So we did the next best thing; pretend to slide down!

Okay, this was just so gross! Inside there, there is SO much dirt between all the little cracks. Of course, Jaedyn noticed and decided he didn't eat enough muffin, he had to eat some dirt too. I pulled him away, but he just kept going back now that he knew there was dirt he could eat. I don't starve him, I swear!! ha ha. I decided since I couldn't keep him away from the dirt, it was time to go! So we packed up all of our stuff, got into the stroller (he did, not me, ha ha) and off we went! Of course it decided it was going to hail on our way home and be super windy, but we made it home!

Hope you enjoyed joining us for our adventure at McDonalds! :)

Easy Peasy Fruit Parfaits!

This is such an easy and yummy treat that everyone will enjoy!

It only takes a few things to make these and they are SO yummy! They make a good breakfast, snack or desert. Jaedyn loves them and so do I! Just scoop out some Vanilla yogurt into the container, I fill mine about 2/3 of the way. I then take the frozen strawberries and cut them into strips (For Jaedyn I cut them smaller). I sprinkle the strawberries and a few blueberries(also frozen) on top of the yogurt, annnnd VOILA! (You could also add some crushed peanuts!)

They are soooo yummy! I let mine sit for a few minutes so the berries unthaw just a little. Would make a great snack on a hot day. I am sure lots of people know how to make these as they are super simple, but I just wanted to share cause Jaedyn and I love them. :)

Imperfection is Beautiful

Welcome to my blog, so glad you stopped by! Let me start off by saying that this blog will be far from perfect, just like my life. I wear my pajamas most of the time, with no makeup and hair in a ponytail. My windows have sticky handprints, there are dishes in my sink, and clutter on my fridge. My Friday nights consist of dirty diapers, sesame street and sippy cups of milk. Too many nights is dinner made with one hand in about 10 minutes. It is a big accomplishment when dinner is eaten instead of thrown on the floor, and there are no tears at bedtime. Our house is filled with laughter, smiles and sometimes tears, but that's what makes a house, a home. My life is not glamorous, nor is it perfect, but I wouldn't change a thing. Feel free to join us on our journey through life. You never know what tomorrow will bring.

Lots of love
